News Alert – March 2020 COVID19 Update

We have been monitoring the official advice regarding COVID-19 and have reluctantly made the decision to cancel all East Glasgow Music School classes for the remainder of this session. This also means that our Summer Concert will not go ahead. We realise how disappointing this is but the health and well-being of all our pupils, parents, tutors and volunteers is paramount.

We hope that classes will be able to resume in September and, taking account of public health information at the time, we plan to hold next year’s Open Days on 12th and 19th September as usual. All updates will be posted on our Facebook page @EGMS2017. Our website is also updated regularly with any important information.

These will be sent to current pupils later in the year. A copy will also be posted onto our website over the next few weeks.

All children who have a Music School instrument on loan may retain the instrument as normal. You can even use it to do some practice! P7 pupils are usually asked to return their instruments at one of the Open Days. This remains unchanged and I will send a reminder to those pupils nearer the time.

The Management Team would like to take this opportunity to thank all our tutors, volunteers, parents and pupils for your support over this past session. We hope that everyone keeps well and returns safely to EGMS in the Autumn.
